Our Halloween Party

The Killebrew family loves Halloween. Every year we gear up for this frightfully fun holiday. We start planning out our costumes as early as September. I love this time of year. I love when the weather starts to cool off and you feel that Spirit of the holidays in the air. I start searching for pumpkin recipes and pumpkin scented candles. This year we implemented our first Halloween countdown. It has been fun pulling down a number each night. Time has flown by.

We had our Halloween party last Tuesday night. We had everyone come in costume. Reagan was Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I was the Queen of Hearts. Todd was the swashbuckling Captain Jack Sparrow. We had magicians, Batmen, Robin, a spider,an octopus, a fairy, a skeleton, Speed Racer 1 & 2, a ghost, farmers and their pea pod,a puppy, a lawyer with his latest client, an accident victim, two dinosaurs, two Steve Nash basketball players, a witch, Belle, Spiderman, a rabbit, gypsies, some 60 and 70's lovers, a Phoenix Suns fan, a Wild Child biker chic, and a few Wonder Women. It was so much fun! We had a cupcake walk, a Guess How Many game, Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin, a Craft, Marshmallow Race, and a Mummy Wrap race at the end. There were three prizes for our Pumpkin Contest. Todd's favorite pumpkin award went to the Hull family. The pumpkin that scared Adam the most went to the Kelly family. The Most Original pumpkin went to the Whitehead Family. Greg Whitehead also won the Mummy Wrap race. We did have winners for the Guess How Many game but I didn't write down the results. Sorry :(

Reagan and Brooklyn were so cute and just walked around at the different games. I think they both had three cupcakes a piece. If you had a fingerprint in one it was most likely by one of those sweet girls. At the end of the night we had Rootbeer floats with popcorn. We finished the night off with a fashion show. We ran out of light at the end but I think everyone still looked fabulous. We are so grateful for everyone coming and making it such an enjoyable party. I cannot thank my helpers enough. It would not have been so successful without you. Happy Halloween!
