This month is such a special one.

This month is such a special one it's birthday time for me and Adam.  So, just like last year and the seven years before, Adam and I celebrated our birthday together.  I love that we share a birthday!  Same day.  Same year.  I was born just eleven hours before him.

Adam gave me my most favorite birthday present ever, sleeping in.   Yep, he got the kids up and even "fixed" Reagan's hair.  I walked into the livingroom to this:

At the end of the evening, Adam brought out the cake he bought.  He was so sweet and had my name put on it.  He also only put 24 candles on the cake.  Adam made up the rule that I turn 24 each year since I turned 30. 

We celebrated the evening with my most favorite people on earth. 

I am so glad I get to grow old with that smile. 

Gone Fishin!

Todd and Adam went fishing by themselves last Saturday.  Todd was so excited the night before that he asked Adam if they could get up early and go.  I think the kids love anything that daddy loves.  They had a lot of luck and caught over twelve catfish.  Yummy!  Guess what we had for lunch on Sunday, fried catfish!

On Monday I was all excited to start my week off right and work out!  Yahoo!  Well, as I was digging around in my drawers trying to find some of my workout clothes I stumbled upon my Valentines gift.  Adam will get here two days after Valentines Day so he decided to hide my gift in my lingerie/sports bra/old bathing suits drawer.  I am sure he thought I wouldn't be going in there.  To his surprise I actually worked out.  Sorry Adam!  It is totally the thought that counts!!!!

Sadly, since this whole snow/ice escapade I haven't worked out.  In fact, all I have eaten is carbs, carbs, and more carbs.  To top it off all I have done is sit, sit and more sitting.  I had chips and dip for dinner last night.  I had chips and salsa for lunch today.  Plus, we ate on all this delicious chocolate.

Sorry, the picture is so dark. It was taken after Adam and Todd got home. Adam and Todd left that afternoon and a few hours later I got an excited phone call. Adam was able to snag this guy with his bow he just bought from a friend. Way to go!

Homework

I think I hate homework more than Todd. It does payoff in the end but the process stinks. This week Adam helped Todd while I watched and listened.

Our Birthday

Adam and I share the same birthday. I am eleven hours older. Yep, he married an older woman. This year Josh and Lisa took us out to dinner for our birthday. They took us to the French Room located inside the Adolpho hotel in Dallas. We are talking FANCY! Adam and Josh had to wear a jacket. There was something exciting about getting all dressed up to go to dinner. We enjoyed the most delicious food. Each serving was it's own work of art. It was an experience I will never forget. After we were finished with the dinner, the Chef signed our personal menu with birthday wishes.

Lunch with Daddy

One of the benefits of having a dad who works 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off is the opportunity he has to hang out with his kids during the day. Adam, Reagan and I spent a lovely afternoon doing just that while eating lunch with Todd. Reagan was so excited she got her own tray as well! Adam also takes Todd to school every morning and picks him up, per Todd's request.

Fishing at Strawberry Lake

Adam rented us a boat so we could go fishing. It was a so much fun just being there out on the water. Most of the fish we caught didn't meet the length requirements. We didn't care it was still such a great experience.
