14 Reasons Why I love You

This year I implemented a countdown to Valentine's day. On day 4 we were to tell each other 14 reasons why I love you. I sent Adam my list via text. They were each carefully thought out and I thought they were very sweet. Adam sent me four reasons via text and said I would get the rest later. As we were alone sitting at the dinner table he verbally went through the reasons counting down on his fingers. I don't know how many he recited because by the time he got to reason # 8 I didn't hear anything else.

REASON #8: You try to be neat and organized but you are NOT. I love that about you.

I just sat there with my mouth open. I think by the look on my face he felt he needed to say something. "The house is always clean! I just love that you try to be neat and organized but you're not."

I just want everyone to know that he is still alive.

Character Champion

Introducing Todd Killebrew
Miss Moretti's Class
Character Champion
*
Last Friday Todd's school had their Power Rally. It's their awards assembly. They announce the students with all A's and A's and B's. The announce students with Perfect Attendance. Todd has had perfect attendance the whole year. They also announce their classroom's Character Champion. I had a feeling that Todd was going to get it. He has been so good. His behavior chart has been perfect since October. His report card was perfect. We were all ready to attend the Power Rally when Reagan fell backwards onto the fireplace and cut her head open while playing on Layton's toy. I was sad I missed it but still extremely proud of Todd. He is such an amazing little guy. We love him very much!

I HATE Shopping with Kids

Last Saturday, I desperately needed to get a few sheets of scrapbook paper. I had the kids to myself since Adam was helping someone and was going to be gone most of the day. It was around four in the afternoon. I pumped myself up before going in. You can do this! All you have to get is a few sheets of paper. IN and OUT.

I get the paper and head to the check out line. They had these cute retractable measuring tapes on display. By the time I had realized it Todd and Reagan had lined up about ten of these. Pulling them out then pushing the button and watching them go back in. The line is long. I take the tapes away from the kids and tell them to stand by the cart. Layton starts to fuss. This is viscous cycle that goes on for about five grueling minutes. The two year old didn't want to quit touching EVERYTHING. I finally make it to the cashier. At this point Reagan has changed her strategy and has been playing on the shopping carts. Layton is really mad now because he is hungry. Now, if I would have been the cashier I would have tried to get me out of here ASAP. No, not her. She thought this would be the perfect time to put lotion on her hands and pull out her bottle of water. After the cashier takes her second swig of water, Reagan decides to leave the store. The lady starts to scan my four sheets of paper through. Todd decides to save Reagan. Reagan is screaming while Todd is dragging her back through the doors. Layton is crying. I pay the lady and try to get out as fast as I can.

Before leaving, I hear the cashier greet the next customer, "Hello, how are you today?" The lady responds, "I am glad my children are grown." To which the cashier replies, "I am glad I never had children."

4 Month Check Up

We had Layton's 4 month check up today. I hate shots. Please someone come up with another way for little ones to get their immunizations! He was weighed and measured. Here are his stats:

Height: 80% percentile

Weight: 80% percentile 15.10 pounds

While Dr. Halpenny was looking in Layton's ears he discovered that both ears are infected. I can't believe this! Another child with ear troubles. UUUggghhh! We are so grateful for antibiotics.

Happy NEW Year!

We headed to Arizona for the new year. I knew we wouldn't get another chance until this summer to visit. I can't imagine Arizona in June. HOT! We were so excited to visit the Quinn's and meet all their friends and celebrate this new YEAR. We had so much fun! New Year's Eve was such a blast. We played games, ate great food and enjoyed every one's company. We also loved their traditional Rocket launches on New Year's Day. Donelle and I were able to get our toes done too. We saw the Temple lights and enjoyed going through one of the Family displays they offer. They also offer some of the best BBQ there in Arizona. I am still dreaming of it! I wish I would have brought my camera to the Organ Stop Pizza place. What a neat place! Todd talks about it all the time and wants to know when we can go back. We miss the Quinn's terribly but know they are back HOME with friends and family abundantly around them.

4 Months OLD!

I can't believe this little guy is already 4 months old. He is growing so fast! I have a nickname for him, "TINY". Layton is so cute. We love his cheeks and his contagious smiles. He is such a good baby! Everyone who meets him gets a big smile and sometimes he will tell you all about his day. He is getting really good at grabbing things. He has a few favorite toys. His favorite spot is on my hip with one hand firmly grasped in my hair and the other on my chest. I figure he knows his meals are right where he wants them. Todd and Reagan love him very much and want to hold him. Todd likes to talk baby talk to him and make him smile. I love that Todd and Reagan have a little brother to play with.

Wardrobe Malfunction

One of my goals this week is to work out three times. So, in effort to do so I put on my work out clothes. Sometimes I will wear them for hours before actually working out. In my mind if I at least get myself dressed then that is half the battle. I noticed what a beautiful day it was so I decided to take Reagan to see the ducks. Reagan opened the front door and out went the dog. While running from my neighbors yard, back to the street and back to my yard, my pants began to fall. Yep, my pants fell down. I had to hold my pants up in the back while yelling and chasing the dog. I am just really glad that most of my neighbors work during the day. Seriously, this stuff only happens to me.
