Merrry Christmas!

What a great month! We started it out buy purchasing a real Christmas tree. Adam has wanted to do this for a long time. Adam put on the lights. (He does it best!) Then, we all decorated it.

We made our first gingerbread house as a family. I have never made one with a one year old before. Reagan helped by eating the candy as we put it on the house.

Todd really enjoyed himself. He kept asking me when we were going to eat it.

We drove around looking at Christmas lights. It was fun seeing the neighbors that really got into it. We had the Ward Christmas party. We had Todd's Christmas party at school. They each brought a new book for a gift exchange. We had the Killebrew family gift exchange. We had a movie theme this year. We had a lot of fun with that. The cousins traded games with each other. Carie and I thought alike because we puchased the same game. On Saturday, we had Hunter and Ryan over. We let them open their gifts early since Adam would only be home Christmas morning for a few hours. They had a blast opening presents. We even let Reagan and Todd open presents from us.
(A New Wii!)

Sunday night, we had the Byrd family get together. We missed the Clark family, maybe next year? We also had a movie theme and traded movies. We ate lots and had fun, fun, fun!

Grandma and Grandpa came over Monday. We had Family Home Evening. Todd gave the lesson. It was about Jesus. He taught that he was once a little baby and showed us a picture. He also showed us a picture of Jesus when he was a baby. He told us where Jesus was born and where Todd was born. He told us that Jesus has a mother named Mary and that his mommy's name was Cindy. We also sang Reagan's favorite song, "Christmas Bells". Grandma bought us some beautiful bells to use. Reagan passed them all out and then started ringing them. What a wonderful blessing a family is!

I did a little last minute shopping. I went to Wal*Mart on Christmas EVE. I know, what was I thinking!? I took the kids to see Bolt on Christmas Eve. They sat so well in their seats for the first 20 minutes. Then, it was game over for Reagan. She played on the bars and climbed up and down the steps. Why again? On Christmas Eve night, we had a visit from Santa's elves. (Thank you Pat and Robin Sharp!)

Adam arrived safely Christmas morning to watch the kids open gifts.

Todd placed the last cotton ball on our countdown. What a wonderful time of year! I am truly blessed! Thanks to all my friends and family who made this such a magical holiday!
