Spring Break fun

My kids had a fun filled spring break. We had the Baumann cousins, Hunter and Ryan and the Kirchner cousins over. There were 12 kids at my house! Adam took half of them out to a hunting lease to walk around and check it out. He was proud of Rachel for keeping up right along side him the whole time. She was wearing flip flops. She's tough! I took the other half to Castle park. The weather was just perfect. The kids loved jumping on the trampoline after dark and just being outside. I don't think I heard the words "I'm bored", once. I am so grateful for these precious times in my life. Melissa kept my kids for two nights. She took them to see, The Lorax. She said Layton sat through the whole movie. She claims she didn't drug him. :) Maybe, the pizza helped.

During Spring Break, Hunter and Ryan practiced with their bows and gave a lesson or two to Layton.  Reagan wanted to help too.  She was the official arrow keeper. 

Spring Break ~ Children's Museum

During the Stock show this year the Fort Worth Museum had their memberships 20% off.  I jumped on the opportunity.  We have loved it!  We got to have the Baumann cousins stay at our house for three days during spring break. Monday we went to the Museum and met up with the McEwan family.  It was perfect!  Margaret and I kept counting 10 heads everywhere we went.

If you ask my kids what they want to do on any particular day, the answer is always play at the park.  Unless it is summer, then the answer is always swimming.  During spring break, we braved the anticipated crowds and headed to a favorite park.  We were pleasantly surprised that there weren't buses parked in the parking lot.  The weather was perfect!  The kids had a fabulous time. 

The Zoo *Half Price Wednesday*

Never, Never, Never Again! The zoo was CRAZY! So crazy, we left. The upside: we were able to spend time with the Kirchner and Honshtein families.

Homestead Heritage

Only a few minutes north of the Baylor University museum was Homestead Heritage. After eating at McDonalds, we headed there to finish up our Waco trip. Homestead Heritage is a 510 acre homesteading community.

Spring Break ~ The Botanical Gardens

We were so lucky to be able to hang out with cousins this Spring Break. The Kirchners were here for Spring Break and ready to party with us! We had numerous dips into the hot tub and yummy feasts at Momo and Papa's house.

~Monday~

We went to the Botanical Gardens and had professional photos taken by Michelle's friend Alyssa. My kids are REBELS I tell you. Todd looked everywhere but at the camera. Reagan either ran from us or pouted in most of the shots. Sweet little Layton hammed it up! He did a great job. This won't last long but for now I will enjoy it!
