I love this boy!

Thanks everyone for all the Happy birthday messages, cards and gifts for Layton's special day.  It was such a special day!  He is blessed to have so many people who love him!

Cupcakes at school.

Layton had school the day before his birthday so we brought cupcakes to share with his classmates.  He was so proud of himself and had to tell everybody that they were HIS cupcakes. 

He was almost happy about going to school that day.

I can't believe how he has turned into a little boy over night. 

Layton Goes to Pre-School

In an attempt to help with my sanity, we enrolled Layton in the same Mother's Day out his siblings attended.  He is excited about going to school but not excited about mom leaving him.  Reagan and Todd have been so excited for Layton.  They ask him all about school and what he does.  Overall, it has been a great experience.  His teachers tell me he loves all the arts and crafts they get to do.

New Bikes.

We have been planning for awhile to get bikes for Reagan, Layton and Mom.  Well, on Tuesday we finally did it!  Adam had a Walmart giftcard and we went bike shopping.  Reagan found a pink unicorn bike she couldn't live without.  I love my new bike too.  (picture to come soon)  Adam mounted a seat on it so Layton can ride with me since he hasn't figured out how to pedal yet.

We love our new bike so much that we had to pose for "crazy sock day" on it.

Layton loves his new bike.  Absolutely NOONE is allowed to even sit on it. 

Layton's Easter party.

We were invited to an Easter play group.  Layton was so excited to go!  This was his first playgroup all by himself, no siblings.  He told me this morning, "No Reagan, just me"!  He went strait for his basket this morning and told me he was ready to go.

Layton went missing!

The other night I realized Layton was too quiet.  I went to my room looking for him.  He wasn't there.  I checked in the back and front yard.  Todd was panicking.  I was about to.  I had a flood of thoughts but decided to go again to my room.  I looked at the bed. 

Then, I took another look.

He had fallen asleep with a pillow over his face.

Change Change Change!

During Christmas break, we made the change. 

1. Take down baby bed. 
2. Put up Reagan's new bed.
3. Make room for Layton's train table
4. Bag up 4 bags of toys and 1 bag of clothes
5. Clean
6. Organize
7. Take Layton to buy his new blanket and sheets for his big boy bed.
8. Pray it all works out.

Layton requested the top bunk.  He says, "Top"!  He is so proud and has to show everybody comes to the house his "top".

There is still a bunch of work to be done.  Reagan officially has her room back!

He is ready. We are not.

Layton decided that he was ready for this big step in life.  Adam and I can't believe our baby just won't stay a baby.

I can't believe how fast my time flies.  Layton has been no exception to this.  Layton woke up to singing and smiles all around.  We dropped off Reagan and went to get him a balloon.

We then went and picked up Reagan from school so we could go to ride the train.  Layton LOVES trains. 

We had lasagna for dinner and then chocolate cake for dessert.  He was so excited to eat cake and blow out the candles. 

Layton received a scooter for his birthday.  It is so adorable to watch him ride.

Layton is such a blessing to our family.  He has been so fun to watch and grow.  He is by far our best talker at this age.  I have been so amazed at the words and phrases he will say.  He loves to watch Max and Ruby and Blues Clues.  He loves to play with balls.  He loves playing with his brother and sister.   Todd was one of his first words.  He loves him.  He loves to talk to daddy on the phone everyday when he is away.  He loves his family. We love you Layton so very much!
