Preschool Graduation

Todd graduated last night from preschool. We are so excited for him and this next chapter of life. I can't believe my little boy will be heading off to school in September. Time has flown by so fast! We are super proud of Todd and know he will do well.

Todd's 5th Birthday Party!

We celebrated Todd's 5th birthday with his friends and family on Saturday at Papa and Momo's house. He asked for a Pokemon pool party. We made him a strawberry cake with colorful sprinkles. We decorated it with the Picachus I made and some strawberries. It was topped off with the #5. Thank you Aunt Michelle and daddy for making and decorating the cake!

I think Todd almost forgot it was his birthday/pool party until the presents came. Reagan had a great time hanging out with her big brother and playing by the POOL.

Memorial Day 2009

What's the best way to eat a SmORe? Naked

This Memorial Day we decided to roast some SMORES on the grill. I let the kids swim and play in the little baby pool until it was dark outside. Reagan decided it was best to go naked.

All About Mom...

Todd came with a bundle of gifts for me on Thursday. He had the questionnaire that he had filled out on Tuesday. I was pretty excited to see what the answers were. He had made a clay hand print. I will treasure this FOREVER! There was also a precious card he had made me. I love that boy!

He are the answers to ALL ABOUT MOM...

My mom's name is Cindy

She has brown hair and brown eyes.

She is 6'9" feet tall and weighs 969 pounds.

She is 90: 90: 99 years old.

She loves to eat Chicken Spaghetti.

Her favorite thing to do is visit with my Aunt Michelle.

She smiles when I draw her a nice picture.

I love her because I'm so crazy!

Just one of those days...

*****DISCLAIMER****** What you are about to read are actual events done by a TWO YEAR OLD*****************************************************
I have been craving tomato basil soup from La Madeleine's for a week now. Today, I decided to look up the recipe and sure enough they were all over the Internet. I was lucky that we had all the ingredients. I finished it up and ate a bowl. . . . or two. It was great. Not quite the same but I was satisfied. I had tons left overs so I started to put it away. I made it to a plastic bowl to put in the fridge and that was as far as I got. It sat there on the counter for a while. Well, a while UNTIL Reagan saw it. I went off to pick up her room because that was on my to do list for the day and it was getting close to five. I went in there for about five minutes when I realized how quiet everything was. I stuck my head out of the room and saw Todd sitting at the computer right where I had left him. Oh, but then I heard it! This sloshing sound. As I walked in extreme slow motion I saw what could only be described as PANIC. My sweet little girl was sitting on the CARPET with my big bowl of tomato soup. She had both hands in there just sloshing around and she was having the time of her life. I can't really remember what I yelled but my point was made. The sweet princess backed away from the bowl and stood up. She had it all over her and my CARPET. She was crying. . . I was yelling. Then I started yelling at Todd for not noticing what was going on right behind him. I used all the carpet spray I had.
**Don't worry all has been forgiven and all we have left is the pink/coral reminder on the CARPET as a memento of the occasion
*********************************************************************************
On a funnier note. . .
At school today Todd's class was answering questionnaires for Mother's Day. Later that evening Todd looked at me and said, "Mommy let's talk about wub (love). Why do you wub me"? I said a few things and then responded with a question for him. "Why do you love mommy"? Todd answered, "I wub you because I'm CRAZY!" He said this while sticking his tongue out, shaking his head side to side and saying, "LLLLLLLLLLLL!" ...an answer only Todd could give.

The Kenny Concert Parts 1 & 2

PART 1

Donelle purchased Kenny Chesney tickets for her birthday and invited me to come along. She felt it was her duty to take me to my 1st official concert. She said the Trans-Siberian Orchestra didn't count. :( Sorry TSO. Isn't she the BEST! It had been raining all week and they said we only had a 35% chance of rain that night. Kenny was supposed to come out around 8:30. We (okay mostly Donelle)came super prepared. We had towels, umbrellas and then we stopped off at Wal*Mart to get ponchos. Away we went! After arriving we realized we were going to have to park a mile or so back. While walking we were so careful to not get our feet wet. Heaven forbid! Our seats were down on the floor! Lucky us! We made our way down and realized I couldn't see because of my vertical challenge. We made our way closer to the stage and stood in our seats.

Here we are dry and EXCITED!

He came out and the place went CRAZY! It started to sprinkle but nobody cared. The only problem was that it continued to sprinkle and pick up and up and up. By Kenny's sixth song it was POURING! Then, it started lighting. He tried my, how he tried to continue. Unfortunately, it was over. Only we just sat there thinking he would come back. Security came over to us and said that he was not coming back and to evacuate. As we were all leaving by the thousands, they come over the speaker and said he would have another concert. We stripped down to our skibbies and rode home wet, sad and amazed that this really happened.

Wet and in SHOCK

PART 2

Kenny TIME! Perfect Weather

This time I wore flip flops and a hat because it was SUNNY! We made it there extra early and the line to get in was at least an hour long so we decided to walk over and get some Mexican food and soda before the concert. We sat up in the bleachers and the concert and WEATHER was perfect! Kenny took his boots off midway through the concert and said he was going to be here awhile. He sang for THREE hours!! The last hour & 1/2 he sang songs from other artist. They sang until they didn't know anymore songs to sing. I cannot thank Donelle enough for letting me come along not just once, but twice. It was so much FUN!
