Happy Valentine's Day!

Todd had a Valentine's Day party at school. He brought his two teachers buckets of chocolate. What is not to love about that? It's really a little thank you for being so sweet to Todd. They said he was singing all day last Tuesday and they couldn't figure out what he was singing. Which is kind of normal because he will take two different songs (that would never go together under normal cicumstances) and put them together. They asked him what he was singing and he told them it was a secret. Later, in the car I asked him what he had been singing all day he started singing Follow the Prophet. He came home with a huge bucket of Valentines and candy.

We bought Todd a Mario Brother's shirt. (It seems like yesterday that me and my brothers were playing that game on the original nintendo) He has worn it almost everyday since we got it. Reagan got a cute outfit for spring/summer. Go Target for having a wonderful sale! I got Adam a waffle maker. Romantic huh? Adam had my van cleaned which is the best gift ever. I still can't believe it is so clean.

Momo made the kids Valentine's day outfits to wear to church. Reagan was given a beautiful dress and she made Todd a reversable vest. One side has hearts on it and the other is cowboy hats. Very cool.

SURPRISE!

That's right folks SURPRISE! We are expecting a baby. I found out the day before I was due to go to my OB/GYN to take care of that little matter. The night before I thought about it I realized that things were a little off. So, Adam being 3 1/2 hours away, convinced me to take the test at home rather than get a surprise the next day. I took took the test and nearly fainted. I went into shock and called Adam with the news. I cried the next day and made a few phone calls. We are blessed to have another little person added to our family. I love my two kids so much already that I know having another little one will just add to that! I appreciate everyone's love and well wishes they have meant so much to us.

Todd is very excited and wants a baby brother. He has decided the name already. Shark. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Tough Times but Enormously Blessed

Last Thursday Adam was officially laid off. We knew for a month that it would happen we just weren't sure when. We decided in Janurary that we would place our snow cone stand for sale. We had it on Craig's List for only a month. Adam received an email last week from a man visiting Fort Worth that was interested in looking at it. He came over Sunday and Adam showed him everything. The man left and then called Adam and said he was interested in buying it and asked if he could put down a deposit. Adam told him not to worry he wouldn't sell it out from under him. The man was determined. He drove back to our house gave us a check and called his daughter to overnight a check for the rest. The Lord has certainly blessed us. We now can survive a few months while Adam is out of work. We pray it won't be long and that he will be able to return to work soon. Todd has been so sweet about the whole thing. When I told him he said, "It's okay mommy, we can move and daddy can get a new job". In every prayer he says he asks Heavenly Father to help his daddy get a job. So sweet. You never realize how important your family is until you go through something like this. We also have amazing friends who are praying right along with us. Great times are coming but until then we are enormously blessed.
