Christmas Eve *The Snow*

It started snowing

and snowing

Christmas Eve *With Hunter and Ryan*

We were all so excited to have Hunter and Ryan come and stay a night with us. Adam had taken both boys to get new shoes for Christmas. Ryan needed shoes for basketball so that is what he chose. Hunter got himself a new pair of black Etnies with lime green soles. Interesting fact: Both the boys have the same shoe size, a size two.

Before they left for home we had a few gifts for them to open.

Layton turns 3 months old

I cannot believe our Layton is already three months old. Time sure flies! He is such a good baby. We have been able to alleviate some of the gas problems from before through my diet. He usually only gets up once a night. He also will wake up around 8:30 and want to eat and go back to sleep. He takes after his mommy and loves to sleep in! Too bad I can't anymore.

After I had Reagan, I told my sister that we would possibly have one more and it would be a boy. I just knew. Almost two years later we had decided not to have anymore. Then, unexpectedly, we found out we were going to have another baby. I had so many emotions. When I look at Layton I am so happy he is here. He has been such a blessing to our family. I get to hold a baby again. It's the little things like always having that blanket it on them to keep him warm. He loves to walk around with me while I cook dinner and clean in the kitchen. I just need an extra hand. His little head just bobs around. I love it when he smiles at me and coos the sweetest sounds.

Check Ups

Layton and Reagan had their checkups at the pediatrician last Thursday.

Here are Layton's stats:

Weight: 90%
Height: 90%

Dr. Halpenny said he looked great.

Here are Reagan's stats:

Weight: 15%
Height: 45%

We discussed Reagan's speech. I let him know we are working with ECI and that in April she will be able to attend the PALS program at North elementary. We are so excited for her!

Dancing Naked

Adam and I were still laying in bed this morning with Layton sleeping soundly right next to me. Todd and Reagan had been up for awhile. We could hear them start to squabble (is that a real word?) in the next room. I pretended to be asleep. Adam gets up and walks into Todd's room. This is what I hear next: Adam - Todd, why are you naked? Todd- I was dancing for Reagan and though it would be funny. You can imagine my thoughts. Was there any money involved? Where did he get this idea? I never thought I would have to explain this. I asked to come into my room. I again asked him why he was dancing naked. He again said he thought it would be funny. Unfortunately, I told him that two year olds don't think dancing naked is funny. Reagan would be naked 24/7 if I would let her. He was dissapointed. I then had to explain again how our bodies are sacred and that we do not prance around naked in front of people. That was the start of my day. How about you?

*Letters to SANTA*

Santa,

I have been good this year. I want a dog for Christmas. Do you think I have been good or bad? I want bumblebee slippers. I want batman slippers. And a new bumblebee toy. I want a whole box of Pokemon cards. I put a Pokemon card inside the tree so you would know what a Pokemon card looks like. That is all of it. I love you Santa Claus.

Love,
Todd Killebrew
Age 5

Dear Santa,

Todd is writing this letter for Reagan. She would like a Barbie. A new baby boy doll because she already has girl doll. A new Dora set. It is a hand dryer, a brush and a comb. Reagan was scared of you last year but now she is not.

Love,
Reagan
Age 2

Dear Santa,

How are you and Mrs. Claus? Layton has been a very good baby this year. I melt when he smiles and get that twinkle in my eye when he coos at me. For Christmas Layton would like some new clothes he is already growing out of all his 3 month old clothes. He could also use some new batteries for his swing. If it wouldn’t be too much trouble Layton could also use a new high chair. Thanks Santa! We always look forward to your arrival.

Love,
Layton and his Mommy

Sunday ~ The Killebrew Christmas Party

Momo and Papa won't be here for Christmas because they will be on a cruise instead. So, we had our Christmas party early. We had the kids bring a movie to trade for each family. We got Monster & Aliens. I think we have seen it twice today! For the adults the theme was My Favorite Things. It turned out really well. Nobody guessed mine. It was Love Spell lotion and Grapelicous lip gloss from Victoria's Secret. Adam's was a no brainer. He brought a hunting magazine and some knives. All the grandkids got a Chia pet except for the babies. Peyton and Layton received teddy bears. Sorry kiddos, but you have to wait until Christmas to get the rest of your presents.

Again, there was so much wonderful food! We had tamales! I am so THANKFUL for family. Tom and Sherry were fortunate to have ALL of their children there with their families.

All the FAMILY gathered together

Sunday ~ The Blessing

We started out the morning with Layton's blessing. I barely squeezed the poor child into his blessing outfit. Adam really wanted to wait to do it until Alex & Spencer Key could participate and ALL his family could be there. What a JOY it is to have so many Priesthood holders there to participate in our sweet baby's blessing. Randy Quinn and Brent Wall also participated but didn't make the picture. It was such a sweet blessing given by Adam!

Saturday

We had our 1st Annual Pajama Pancake breakfast. I learned a few things:
1.) Kids get up earlier than me. I should have and will plan it earlier next year.
2.) Adam is such a great asset in the kitchen. Whatever crazy idea I come up with, he is there making it happen.
3.) We are going to make it even better next year.

Thanks everyone for coming!

*I forgot to take pictures. Can you believe it?

Friday

We were all up early running around to head out the door to get to Ethan's baptism. It was such a sweet experience to see him and his dad all in white. Thanks Ethan, for being such a great example to not only your brothers but to your little cousins as well.

After the baptism we had a wonderful lunch. The kids were able to play and get all their energy out.
That night we headed to down town Fort Worth for The Parade of Lights. Adam prepared hot chocolate and popcorn for everyone. I thought it started at 6:30. Wrong-O. It started at 6:00. We barely got there in time. We were lucky enough to get all the kids into a sweet spot. I love this parade! We have been for three years in a row now. My favorite part was the Elvis's on motorcycles and the floats that had SNOW. Todd was so excited that Justin came over to spend the night. That had a blast!

Thanksgiving Day

This year for Thanksgiving we had something planned everyday.

Getting it ALL ready

The food was so good! Thanks Momo and Papa for having us ALL there for Thanksgiving lunch and dinner. We were also so happy to have Ashley and Katie over for a sleepover.
