2nd Dr.'s Appointment

I know I get to go the doctor a million times before the baby is born. On the last appointment they drew blood and made me fill out a bunch of paperwork. They asked me all the usual medical questions. They weighed me and did a sonogram. This time we got to "check up under the hood" if you know what I'm saying. They nurse asked me again before the doctor came in for more medical history and again if I had any STDs. I signed another set of waivers for test I didn't care to do. My last two experiences with the OB were nothing like this. She smiled and said they would go over my test results. This scared me a little because USUALLY they just tell me everything came back great and go onto poking and prodding under the hood. The doctor went over EVERY result of the tests. I just kept thinking here it comes. I didn't have HIV/Aids, check, blood levels okay, check. At this point I'm thinking the worst. You really can get STD's from public toilets. Until she says, no STD's, check. Why is she doing this? No drugs or alcohol, check. I'm looking down at the paper. Under this category it list in all caps, CAFFEINE. The doctor looked up at me smiled and said, "I don't blame you for that". Lastly, she gets to the results of my THYROID. It is below the LOW marks on the scale. It was a 1.7. She said we would take another blood test later to see if it was still on the low end. ALL that for CAFFEINE and a 1.7 THYROID level. I'm sure I giggled a little because in high stress situations, that's what I do. After that it was down to business, she said, "scoot your bottom all the way to the end the table until you feel like you will fall off".

Happy Easter 2009!

We started off our Easter weekend with a cold Easter egg hunt at the Weatherford Lake park. Momo and Papa invited us to their ward's Easter egg hunt. Papa gave a talk right before the hunt about the meaning of Easter. All the kids listened as well as they could knowing there were eggs to be found. After he was done they let us go! Daddy took Todd in the stroller and I took Reagan hunting for the candy filled eggs. The kids had so much fun!

On Sunday, the Easter bunny didn't appear with baskets of goodness until after church. We enjoyed a dinner with the Quinn's to not only celebrate Easter but Brooklyn's birthday. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!

Todd's broken leg

Friday 6:30 p.m. - just purchased new trampoline
9:00 p.m. - Todd and Reagan freezing and jumping!

Saturday 9:00 a.m. - Todd takes a morning jump.
9:15 a.m. - Todd invites daddy to jump with him.
9:20 a.m. - Todd takes daddy's bounce and lands.
Mommy and Reagan's bath is interrupted by crying.

10:30 a.m. Recruit MoMo to come and take a look. Bait Todd with swimming and Life's a Beach. Todd would rather go to the hospital. Call pediatrician, they refer us to Cooks Children's Hospital.
11:00 a.m. Mommy and Todd leave for the Hospital.
12:30 a.m. Doctor informs us Todd's tibia is broken.

Thursday, we went to the Orthopedic doctor to get his cast. We were glad that this was the day because Todd's splint was looking pretty bad. Todd met doctor Hamilton and he informed him that he broke his Tibia and showed him the location. Dr. Hamilton smiled and said Todd was exactly right. After much deliberation he chose red for his cast.
The cast gets to remain with us for four weeks. We go back May 11th to see if the break has healed. Hopefully, all will be well so we can get that leg ready for swimming and T-ball.

Reagan turns 2!

My sweet Princess turns two today. We let her sleep in as long as she wanted. For breakfast I made this: Homemade waffles with blueberries, stawberries and bananas. Reagan ate Lucky Charms and a bag of cheetos. I let her go with her hair wild and jump on the trampoline until her heart was content. We had a strawberry cake with homemade cream complete with a #2 candle. We didn't get to celebrate our birthday with our cousin Owen because of Todd's broken leg. (Details to come) We had a mellow day resting and playing. A great birthday.

Reagan's favorite word: No

Reagan's favorite food: yogurt, fruit and chips

Reagan's favorite things to do: watch TV on mommy's bed, eat, annoy Todd and make messes.

My favorite things about Reagan: She has such spunk! I lover her curls even if they are a pain. I love that I have a Princess to tickle and play with it. She is truly a blessing to our family!
