Merrry Christmas!

What a great month! We started it out buy purchasing a real Christmas tree. Adam has wanted to do this for a long time. Adam put on the lights. (He does it best!) Then, we all decorated it.

We made our first gingerbread house as a family. I have never made one with a one year old before. Reagan helped by eating the candy as we put it on the house.

Todd really enjoyed himself. He kept asking me when we were going to eat it.

We drove around looking at Christmas lights. It was fun seeing the neighbors that really got into it. We had the Ward Christmas party. We had Todd's Christmas party at school. They each brought a new book for a gift exchange. We had the Killebrew family gift exchange. We had a movie theme this year. We had a lot of fun with that. The cousins traded games with each other. Carie and I thought alike because we puchased the same game. On Saturday, we had Hunter and Ryan over. We let them open their gifts early since Adam would only be home Christmas morning for a few hours. They had a blast opening presents. We even let Reagan and Todd open presents from us.
(A New Wii!)

Sunday night, we had the Byrd family get together. We missed the Clark family, maybe next year? We also had a movie theme and traded movies. We ate lots and had fun, fun, fun!

Grandma and Grandpa came over Monday. We had Family Home Evening. Todd gave the lesson. It was about Jesus. He taught that he was once a little baby and showed us a picture. He also showed us a picture of Jesus when he was a baby. He told us where Jesus was born and where Todd was born. He told us that Jesus has a mother named Mary and that his mommy's name was Cindy. We also sang Reagan's favorite song, "Christmas Bells". Grandma bought us some beautiful bells to use. Reagan passed them all out and then started ringing them. What a wonderful blessing a family is!

I did a little last minute shopping. I went to Wal*Mart on Christmas EVE. I know, what was I thinking!? I took the kids to see Bolt on Christmas Eve. They sat so well in their seats for the first 20 minutes. Then, it was game over for Reagan. She played on the bars and climbed up and down the steps. Why again? On Christmas Eve night, we had a visit from Santa's elves. (Thank you Pat and Robin Sharp!)

Adam arrived safely Christmas morning to watch the kids open gifts.

Todd placed the last cotton ball on our countdown. What a wonderful time of year! I am truly blessed! Thanks to all my friends and family who made this such a magical holiday!

Familes are Forever

My family and I headed out last week for our annual photo shoot with the Quinn family. We had technical problems with the cameras. The kids wanted to play and run away. Reagan wanted to play in the water. But, when I look at the few pictures we did get they are priceless. I am so proud of my family. We are far from perfect but we love each other.

Then men in my life.

Ryan turns 9!

Tonight we celebrated Ryan's 9th birthday. We had one of his favorite meals, hot ham and cheese sandwiches with chips. I grabbed an icecream cake to go with it. He has been wanting the game, Mario Cart, for his Nintendo DS. I was able to snag one up along with a gift card for his birthday. Happy Birthday Ryan!

Parade of Lights

We were able to attend the Fort Worth Parade of Lights again this year. We ate pizza and drank soda while we waited for it to start. It was so much fun! I was worried about Reagan and the huge crowd. She was so good! Todd had a great time! His favorite part was the clowns. Mine was the Elvis riders on little motorcycles. Michelle said her favorite was the hippie van. I missed that on one of the bathroom trips. Reagan loved all of it!
Santa was on the last float of the evening. Mrs. Claus was riding along with him. Todd saw her and said, "Look mommy, his grandma is there too!" Kids are so funny!

Let's get in the hot tub!

What do you do when it's 50 degrees outside on Thanksgiving weekend? You get in the hot tub of course! Todd enjoyed spending time with his cousins. Thanks Pa Pa for getting in the hot tub with all the kids!
