Todd's Graduation

I know little graduations are silly. We really didn't want to go because we thought it was really silly. But, I thought the school is making a really big deal out of this, maybe we should go. We were pleasantly surprised. It was so much fun! Each class walked into the auditorium to the traditional graduation march. They had a diploma for each kid. After the kids received their diplomas we watched a slide show set to music. It is amazing how proud we are of our kids. They had pictures of our Mother's Day lunch and I shed some tears. It was so beautiful the way the presented the kids and how much they really love each one. I am grateful Todd was able to attend the Grace Place and he had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Jennifer. We can't wait until next year!

Todd's Birthday

We started the morning off with Adam and the Scouts setting out flags for Memorial Day. When daddy came home we got dressed and ready to go and set out to the mall. We bought Todd some presents at the Disney store. We quickly ran home and grabbed the cakes and decorations needed for the party. We arrived at Pump it Up and listened to a two minute video about safety. Then, we headed over to the party room. Todd was the line leader. They ran through those doors and had a blast. We spent 2o minutes in one room then 20 minutes in another room before we were ready for pizza, cake and presents. Todd had such a wonderful time. We will remember this birthday for a long time. Thank you to everyone who came!

Oh, Crap!

I am always trying to be so careful with everything I say around my kids and other kids so that if they were to repeat something I said it wouldn't be an embarrassing moment. Well, today after I dropped my sister Michelle off at the snow cone stand to work Todd said, "Oh, crap mommy Michelle has to work". After Michelle and I nearly died I quickly composed myself so he wouldn't see me laugh. I explained we don't say that word. He did the usual why and I had to explain that it is not a nice word. Blah blah blah. Earlier he had told me I had lost it. Isn't that nice. You see I tell him that I am about to loose it and he better behave himself or else. Today, I guess he thought I had reached that point. The only thing I can see remotely positive about the whole situation is that he used the right tense of the verb. :)

Two for the Price of One!

Reagan has had numerous ear infections and her eardrums have ruptured four times. We visited the ENT, Dr. Fewins, on Monday. Dr. Fewins has performed surgery on Adam and his sister Kathy. He listened to the case and said it was a no brainer that she needed tubes in her ears and that her adenoids needed to come out also. Adam mentioned that he needed to see Dr. Fewins again because he can't breathe out of his nose as well as could after his surgery. He discussed the procedure he could do and told us that we wouldn't have to pay for the procedure. Yippee!

On Thursday morning we woke up around 5:30 and headed to the hospital. The procedure lasted a whole twenty minutes and that was with Dr. Fewins getting his coffee refilled before he came and talked to us. She is home and doing great! She is eating and drinking just like normal. Adam will have his procedure done on Thursday and is an in office procedure. He can't wait to breathe out of his nose again.

The Month of Todd

This is the month of Todd. He was born on the 26th of May almost 4 years ago. He came into this world around 10:50 pm. Through hours upon hours of labor then three hours of pushing, he appeared. I remember my first thought at seeing him lying there in his little incubator was that he had a big nose. I found out a little later that his nose was swollen from labor. He quickly won my heart and his been a blessing ever since. We love watching movies together. He loves being with daddy doing anything. He loves school and all his friends there. When we arrive to school all the little kids say, "Todd you are here!" It is so sweet. He loves hot dogs, yogurt, snow cones and pink milk. He has an awesome imagination and I love to listen to him play. He will actually play with Reagan and she loves that.

Oh, the life of a fan!

Saturday finally arrived! The kids were left at home being well cared for as Donelle and I headed to Frisco to meet Stephenie Meyer.

Adam and I had been early enough last Tuesday that we scored great seats. We sat down in the Centennial High School Auditorium. The fans were so pumped you would have thought we were at a Hannah Montana concert. She finally came out it was so cool.

She answered some previously submitted questions for around 20 minutes and then proceded to sign autographs. We went row by row and since we had such great seats we didn't wait too long.
We finally made it to the stage and Donelle and I were discussing what we were going to say. I was like uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhh? I finally reached her table and I said, "I am a little star struck, I don't know what to say". She said, "I don't usually know what to say at these things either". She was so normal. She dressed just like a mom out for the evening. I wanted to ask her so many questions. She was just so cool. Why couldn't I have had a dream about a vampire?

Whatever It Takes

This morning I awoke at 4:00 AM to drive for an hour then I stood in line for over 2 1/2 hours. Why would I do this you ask? My devoted husband came along to stand in the cold and damp air so that I could get a ticket. This isn't some ordinary ticket. This ticket will ensure that I meet the incredibly talented Stephenie Meyer. Stephenie Meyer will be here on Saturday and will be discussing and signing her books. With tickets limited fans were there super early. There were over two hundred people in front on me. Fathers arrived hours before work so they could stand in line for their daughters. Fans had set up tents and slept outside the mall overnight to ensure there tickets. Can you feel the excitement? I am pumped and ready for Saturday!

some crazy fans I met along the way
