Wii love you!

For our five year anniversary I did the coolest thing. I purchased a Wii for Adam. It was so exciting. We have had so much fun playing it. It was definately a suprise. I never buy big ticket items like that.

Gripe Session!

I have been in Anatomy and Physiology for three weeks now. This class has taken over my life. I can't sleep. I have to resort to sleeping pills just to fall asleep. I study at least 15 hours for a test. We have two test a week. We cover four chapters a week. When he gives us an "outline" of what our test will be over I immediately go home and begin to write out everything that has to do with the particular item. For this last test it covered the Axial Skeleton, Appendicular Skeleton and the Joints. I can name all the facial and cranial bones. I could tell you the classification of joints and so much more. I thought I am going to ace this test. WRONG! Before the test my professor said we would not have to know the names of the eight carpals in the hand. I knew of the scaphoid because that is the most commonly broken. There were at least 5 questions on the carpals. I missed those of course. The test was multiple choice or as I like to refer to them as multiple guess. Every question was worded to confuse you. He had four possible answers that all sounded alike in some way. I don't understand why he just doesn't ask us the question. Why does he have to make it so hard and try to trick us? I guarantee not one person in that room is going on to be a bone doctor or study joints. You walk out of every test thinking I should have studied more. I understand he wants us to know the information but why try and trick us? Just ask the question and I will give you the answers. No games!

Listen to your mother...

I have been meaning to post this for awhile now. I took the kids over to my parents house to visit before they moved to Missouri. We had just returned home from a baby shower for my sister and a bridal shower for my cousin Christy. I pulled in before my parents. When they walked inside my mom said that I might want to move my car out of the lawn because it is going to rain and it will get stuck. I don't know how she knew that it was going to rain. I shrugged it off and told her I would be fine. Sometime later it started to pour. I still didn't think that I would be stuck. As I started to pull out of the yard it became very apparent to me that I was stuck. I tried several times to get it out. Finally, their neighbor drove over with a tow hitch and pulled me out. So, moral of the story, listen to your mother.

Happy Anniversary!

Adam and I have been married for five years today. Time has flown! I love this picture. It was taken at Brian and Anna's wedding. Can you see Todd in the background? He was just a little guy. Adam has so many great qualitites that I love about him. He loves me, has confidence in me and believes in me. I am so grateful for that when life can be so uncertain at times. Thanks for five wonderful years together!

There is a new girl in school and she drives a minivan!

I decided to head back to school. I am currently enrolled in a second session summer course. I took perhaps one of the hardest courses to take under those circumstances. My class is Anatomy and Physiology I. My first day was Monday. On the second day of lab we dissected a rat. Today we had our first quiz over Chapter 1 and 2. Monday we have our first exam over Chapter 1,2 and 3. I have been cramming like crazy. I have so many flash cards. The professor said we would need to study at least 12 hours a week to get a B. He must have been talking to the smart students. I have been up until 1 a.m. every night this week. Most of the students in the class, over 50%, are taking this class for the second time. Scary, huh? I think we dissect a cat and sheep's brain next week. Wish me luck! :)

Babies

While I was gone to girls camp I got two new nephews. William and Brooke had their new baby boy on Tuesday. They named him William Robert Byrd V. I was able to hold him and feed him a bottle while they were here for the Fourth of July. He sure is a cutie! William is a proud daddy and loves his little boy. Melissa and Charlie had their new baby boy on Thursday. They named him Charles William Baumann. He is so sweet and sleeps most of time I have seen him. He is tiny and looks just like his daddy. Melissa loves having a little boy.
